Capitals to Host Alumni Weekend, Featuring Stars & Spirits Event
ARLINGTON, Va. -The Washington Capitals Alumni Association (WCAA) announced today details surrounding the WCAA 2023 Alumni Weekend, including a Stars & Spirits rooftop event benefitting the Capitals Alumni Community Fund.
Tickets for Stars & Spirits, taking place Sept. 29, are now available and cost $169. Confirmed alumni participating include the following, with additional participants to be announced at a later date: Karl Alzner, Peter Bondra, John Druce, Alan Hangsleben, Matt Herr, Dmitri Khristich, Ken Klee, Olie Kolzig, Nick Kypreos, Rod Langway, Craig Laughlin, Alan May, Kelly Miller, Paul Mulvey, Andrei Nikolishin, Matt Pettinger, Michal Pivonka, Erroll Rausse, Bill Riley and Ken Sabourin.
On Friday, Sept.29, alumni will host a Fantasy Camp for adult hockey players at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. Registration for the clinic is now open at WashCaps.com/AlumniWeekend.
From 7-10 p.m., alumni will participate in the fifth alumni rooftop event, Stars & Spirits, at The View of DC in Rosslyn, VA. The cocktail event will feature alumni, fans and Capitals partners alongside a variety of tastings, custom drinks, and premium hors d'oeuvres. Guests will mingle with former Capitals players and select current players while taking in 360-degree panoramic views of Washington, D.C.
In addition, the event will feature both a live and silent auction. Proceeds from the auctions will be used by the Capitals Alumni Community Fund to grow the game of hockey within the D.C. area and support local charities.

Saturday, Sept. 30 will see alumni join participants of the Capitals Future Caps Learn to Play program on the ice. The Future Caps Learn to Play program is a first-time hockey program for kids ages 5-9. For more information on the Future Caps Learn to Play program, visit WashCaps.com/FutureCaps
Alumni will then participant in a meet and greet and watch party at Caesars Sportsbook at Capital One Arena featuring the Capitals preseason game vs. the Detroit Red Wings. Fans are invited to Caesars Sportsbook from 7-10 p.m. for the event.
The WCAA brings together the Capitals organization past to serve as goodwill ambassadors in the community for the future. The WCAA focuses on supporting each other through personal and professional development and the growth of the sport throughout the metropolitan area through their involvement in the Learn to Play and the teams' youth hockey initiatives.
