Press release: Texas Rangers return to Globe Life Field for nine
Arlington, Texas— The Texas Rangers begin the month of September amidst a playoff push with their longest homestand of the season that spans nine games over 10 days from Friday, September 1 – Sunday, September 10.
Texas welcomes the Minnesota Twins for a three-game series, Friday, September 1 – Sunday, September 3. Friday is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT, followed by the first and only 6:15 p.m. game of the year at Globe Life Field on Saturday, with the series finale set for 1:35 p.m.
The Battle for the Silver Boot continues on Labor Day when the Rangers host the Houston Astros for the first game of a three-game set. The series opener on Monday, September 4 begins at 3:05 p.m., followed by a pair of 7:05 p.m. starts on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Following a team off day on Thursday, September 7, the homestand continues with a three-game series against the Oakland Athletics, Friday, September 8 – Sunday, September 10. The opener is scheduled for 7:05 p.m., followed by a 6:05 p.m. start on Saturday and a 1:35 p.m. first pitch for the series and homestand finale.

Availability is extremely limited on Labor Day vs. Houston. Beginning with the homestand opener on Friday, September 1, the Texas 2 Split 50/50 Raffle presented by Kroger will be available to purchase online. Fans must be 18 and older and located inside Globe Life Field. The exciting new option will enhance the fan experience and lead to larger jackpots for fans and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. The series opener against Minnesota is packed with offerings for fans at Globe Life Field, beginning with the Pregame Happy Hour presented by Anheuser-Busch in the Karbach Brewing Sky Porch from 5:00-7:00 p.m. From 5:15-6:15, former Rangers outfielder David Murphy will sign autographs in the New Era Alumni Alley.
On both Friday and Saturday vs. Minnesota, the Rangers will sport their City Connect uniforms. On Friday, fans will have an opportunity to purchase a limited edition Peagle poster designed by Fort Worth artist Matt Cliff. 250 copies will be for sale at the Rangers Authentics kiosk behind section 134.
Saturday’s 6:15 p.m. game leads off with the Jacob deGrom Replica Jersey giveaway presented by Nolan Ryan Brands to the first 15,000 fans. The final Pregame Happy Hour presented by Anheuser-Busch of the season will take place in the Karbach Brewing Sky Porch from 4:15-6:15.
The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, in collaboration with first baseman Nathaniel Lowe, American Airlines, and a host of community organizations, will host Stand Up To Cancer Night on Saturday. During pre-game ceremonies, around 150 children’s cancer patients, survivors, and their caregivers will form a “gold ribbon” in the outfield, a symbol that represents those battling childhood cancer. At the conclusion of the third inning, fans and players alike will pause to support those currently battling cancer, survivors, and those we have lost while holding placards with messages of support and acknowledgment. The Texas 2 Split 50/50 Raffle presented by Kroger will benefit Stand Up To Cancer.
Additionally on Saturday, former Rangers pitcher John Burkett will sign autographs in the New Era Alumni Alley from 4:30-5:30.
The second giveaway of the homestand is Sunday, September 3 when the first 15,000 fans take home the Rangers Fleece Blanket presented by Veryable. A pair of popular Sunday promotions return with $1 Blue Bell Ice Cream and postgame run the bases, both for kids 13 and under.
Sunday is also Military Appreciation Day as we celebrate the brave men and women who serve our country. Military Appreciation tickets purchased through the community night offer will come with the choice of an Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force or Coast Guard cap. The Battle for the Silver Boot rages on as the Rangers welcome their rival, the Houston Astros, for the first of a three-game series on Labor Day, Monday, September 4 at 3:05 p.m. The opener is a Mariachi Monday presented by T-Mobile. Game two vs. Houston is a Coca-Cola Family Fun Tuesday on September 5. The series and season finale in the Battle for the Silver Boot is scheduled for Wednesday, September 6 and features a Texas Chili Company Dollar Hot Dog Night.
For the entire series against Houston, Cartel Taco Bar will take residence in the Arlington Eats stand near Section 101.
The final series of the homestand sees the Oakland Athletics visit Arlington for three games. The Rangers will wear their City Connect uniforms on Friday, September 8 and Saturday, September 9. Rangers Hall of Famer Ian Kinsler will sign autographs in the New Era Alumni Alley from 5:15-6:15.
On Friday, mystery dog bandana collars will be for sale outside the Grand Slam Team Store hosted by Mitch and Sarah Garver. The autographed collars will be for sale from 5:00 p.m. to the top of the fifth inning (while supplies last). Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of North Texas.
Saturday, September 9 kicks off with the Lotería Game giveaway presented by Jackpocket to the first 10,000 fans ages 18 and older. Fans that purchase the Lotería community night ticket will receive a custom Lotería Night t-shirt. For more information visit rangers.com/communitynights.

In a pregame ceremony, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and Globe Life will present 21 non-profit organizations across Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma with a total of $125,000 in grants to grow youth baseball and softball in their respective communities.
Additionally on Saturday, Rangers Hall of Fame member and franchise hits leader Michael Young will sign autographs in the New Era Alumni Alley from 4:30-5:30.
Immediately following the game, Viva Tejas presented by Viva First makes its return to the CBD Kratom Backyard at Texas Live! Fans can enjoy live music by La Fiera de Ojinaga, artwork, authentic food, and micheladas.
The 10-day homestand concludes with a 1:35 p.m. matinee on Sunday, September 10. Both offers for kids 13 and under will be available – $1 Blue Bell Ice Cream and postgame run the bases.
The Rangers invite all fans to the Memories of Honor Wall inside the Toyota Southwest entry where they can sign cards for Gold Star Families.
